Obituary

Charlie Ralph Palmer, Sr., 82, of Dyersburg, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

He was the owner of Palmer Construction Company and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Carl Mills officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Deborah K. Campbell of Newbern and Katie Marie Patterson of Dyersburg; four sons, James David Palmer, Eddie Gene Palmer, Timothy Martin Palmer and Steven Wiley Palmer, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Shelia Bailey of Dyersburg and Joyce Campbell of Memphis; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Rook Palmer; a son, Charlie Ralph Palmer, Jr.; and his parents, David and Mary Edna Sturdivant Palmer.

Pallbearers will be Trice Palmer, Jeremy Palmer, Willie Palmer, Joe Palmer, David Palmer and Zack Campbell.
