Charles F. Richardson Sr., 87, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was retired as a teacher for Newbern Vocational Technical School, an Army staff sergeant and veteran of World War II, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, and a former Dyer County Commissioner representing Fowlkes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Annabelle Richardson of Dyersburg; two daughters, Paula Harris and husband, Terry, of Millsfield and Deborah Turbeville and husband, F.F., of Newbern; a son, the Rev. Chuck Richardson and wife, Sheila, of Dyersburg; a sister, Deaton Davis of Fowlkes; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mayola Richardson; and a brother, James Owen Richardson.
Pallbearers will be F.F. Turbeville, Terry Harris, Chris Donaldson, Bracken Chitwood, Ben Richardson and Charlie Richardson.
