Charles Harold Phillips, 72, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driver for Garner Trucking Company and attended Middle City Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Janey McKee and husband Montel, and Brenda Jones, all of Dyersburg and Tina Phillips of Grandhaven, MI; four sons, Tim Phillips and wife, Donna, of Dyersburg, Dennis Phillips and wife, Glenda, of Rome, GA., Alan Phillips of Muskegon, MI. and Tony Phillips of Union City; two sisters, Linda Phillips and companion, Walter Anderson, of McKenzie and Brenda French and husband, Mackie, of Dyersburg; five brothers, William Phillips, Larry Phillips, Ronald Phillips and Andrew Phillips and companion, Angie Owsley, all of Dyersburg and Melvin Phillips and wife, Ann, of Newbern; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Harold Phillips Jr.; his parents, Eltan and Georgia Christian Phillips; a sister, Diane Patterson; and a brother, Jimmy Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Franklin McKee, Tim Phillips II, Dustin Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Jason Jones and Allen Jones.
