Charles Gary Mobley, Sr. age 66, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was an assemblyman for Caterpillar of Dyersburg. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Mobley was a DAV, Shriner, Scottish Rite and a Mason. He was a former employee of Dyersburg Electric System, an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a Navy Veteran of the Gulf War and Kuwait War.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Nathe Ozment, the Rev. Gerry Anderson and Bro. Terry Harris officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Valerie Annette Robbins Mobley of Dyersburg; a daughter, Teresa Marie Mobley Quinley and husband, Darryl, of Drummonds; a son, Charles Gary Mobley, Jr. and wife, Sara, of Tallahassee, FL; three sisters, Patricia Griffin and husband, Randall, and Susan Bechstein, all of Tallahassee, FL and Sue Ann Mobley of West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, Leroy Mobley of Monticello, FL and Jerry Mobley and wife, Patricia, of Cairo, GA; his mother-in-law, Jo W. Robbins of Dyersburg; his sister-in-law, Virginia Raye Robbins of Dyersburg; and four grandchildren, Tommy Lee Jones, Ashton Kinney, Maycee Leighanne Mobley and Elizabeth Reece Quinley.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Louise Dollar Joiner; his father, Joseph Albert Mobley; and his father-in-law, Ray Fillmore Robbins.

Pallbearers will be Justin Davis, Rick Wilbanks, Don Davis, Jerry Cantrell, John Woody and Charles Woody. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Anderson and James Day.
