Charlene Norman Screws, 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on January 20, 1930, in Lauderdale County, TN, to the late E.D. Norman and the late Carmer Burrows Norman. Charlene was a retired assistant manager for Sears, where she worked for 26 years. She was a 60 + year member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and choir member.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Halls Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Vincent (David), of Athens, TN; a son, David Screws of Springville, TN; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Screws; two sisters, Florene Eaton and Peggy Owens; and a brother, Houston Norman.

Pallbearers will be Josh Screws, Greg Garner, Garrett Garner, Justin Screws, Derrick Melton and Ben Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Brecken Beasley, Mark Means and Howell Strain.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hillcrest Baptist Church, c/o Music Program.
