Charlene C. Hogins, age 84, of Dyersburg, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a member and attended East Dyersburg United Methodist Church for 56 years where she was a Sunday School Class Secretary. She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 43 years.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at East Dyersburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Wolfgang officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Koonce, Blake McAlister, Dylan Taylor, Mike Montgomery, Jackie Keeling, and Gene Young. Bobby Richards will serve as honorary pallbearer. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening at the church.

Survivors include her sister, Jan C. Koonce (Larry) of Dyersburg; one brother, Donald F. Cook of Jackson, MS; her nephew, David L. Richards and wife, Christy and daughter, Katie of Dyersburg; two nieces, Kathy Taylor and husband, Dylan and son, Samuel from Madison, MS, and Lindy Black and husband Mike,Sara and Evan from Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John David and Pauline Cook; her husband, Lawrence Hogins; and son, Lawrence Hogins, II (Chip).
