Charlene Hastings Garner's Obituary
Charlene Hastings Garner, 70, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was a bookkeeper for Colonial Rubber and Nichols Trucking Company and a member of Sorrell's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowrance and Bro. Craig Tate officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Garner of Dyersburg; a daughter, Cindy Elkins and husband, Terry, of Dyersburg; a son, Dewayne Hastings and wife, Leigh Ann, of Friendship; a brother, William Hulme of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Brock Elkins, Breanna Elkins, Alexandria Hastings and Hannah Hastings.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilburn "Sonny" Hastings, Jr.; and her parents, Fountain and Thalia Sorrell Hulme.
Pallbearers will be Chad Neal, Tom Bell II, Larry Riggs, Franklin Hurst, J.R. Wheeler and Lynn Dotson. Honorary pallbearers will be George Rice, Roger Rice, Buddy Griffin, Kenneth Neal and Donald Burkhead.
