Charlene Drumwright, 79, of Dyersburg, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
She was a devout Christian, member of the Assembly of God Church and co-founder of Southside Assembly of God Church in Dyersburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. William Elder officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Lynn Drumwright of Dyersburg; two sons, Gerald Drumwright and wife, Terry, of Germantown and Terry Drumwright and wife, Susan, of Humboldt; three sisters, Laura Crews and Ann Mills, both of Memphis and Amelia Escue of Ripley; six grandchildren, Evan Drumwright, Alison Mhoon, Ashley Goode, Chris Goode, Laura Alford and Jennifer Wells; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Emma Thompson; and two brothers, Lauren Thompson and John Thompson.
The family requests that memorials be directed to The American Diabetes Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South or to the church of the donor's choice.
