Celia Weakley Hudson, 91, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her residence.
She was a homemaker and the oldest member of First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg. She was also an avid Book Club member and a life long reader.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m.in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church officiated by Patty Lou Parker and Dr. David Russell. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of First United Methodist Church
Mrs. Hudson is survived by three sons, Murray F. Hudson of Dyersburg, Jack S. Hudson, Jr. of Dallas, TX, and Russell A. Hudson of Tucson, AZ. She has three grandchildren, Murray "Mac" Hudson(Amy Schwimm), Duncan M. Hudson (Ute Gascho), Celia Hudson Blackwood (James) and five great-grandchildren,Sophia Phelan Hudson, Ava Grace Hudson, James McGuinn Blackwood, Cairon McGuinn Blackwood, and Callie Anne Blackwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack S. Hudson; one sister, Jane Weakley Finley; and her parents, Murray K. and Callie Davis Weakley.
The family request that memorials be directed to McIver's Grant Library Building Fund.
