Obituary

Celia Hazel Flowers, 96, of Tiptonville, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgely Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Dana Watford officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Jack Flowers of Ridgely; a sister, Stella Pohl of Muskegon, Mich.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Red" Flowers; a son, Floyd Ezell Flowers; her parents, Alfred and Nancy Lawrence; three sisters, Louise Mathews, Jessie Peirce and Oma Snow; and five brothers, Thomas Lawrence, George Lawrence, Alonza Lawrence, Obe Lawrence and Clyde Lawrence.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Childress, Larry Paschall, Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Sammy Price and James Tolar. Honorary pallbearers will be Tolar Flowers, Eugene Flowers, Mike Flowers, Mayme Wakefield, Joe Marvin Jr., Carol Burns, Linda McClain, Sue Pope and Carolyn Carr.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Ridgely Church of Christ or to the charity of the donor's choice.
