Cathy Louise Lovins Burns, 67, of Covington, TN passed away on Sunday, August 1 ^st , 2021 at her home. Cathy was born on October 2, 1953 in Dyersburg, TN at Baird Brewer Hospital to the late Bud and Louise Lovins.

She was a member of the 1971 graduation class at Dyersburg High School and received her bachelor's degree from Union University. She was a retired purchasing professional from Colonial Rubber Works after 40 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be immediately following at Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Dennis Burns of Covington, TN, three sons, Brandon Thurmon (Saneta) of Webster Grove, MO, Michael Thurmon (Kelley) of Nashville, TN and Logan Burns (Rachel) of Bartlett, TN, a brother, Randy Lovins (Sherry) of Dyersburg, TN, two sisters, Joan Spencer (Paul) of Medina, TN and Jean Nolen (Larry) of Dyersburg, TN. She was Grammie to 7 grandchildren, Valletta, Westen, and Bryce Thurmon of Webster Groves, MO, Alexandra and Patterson Thurmon of Nashville, TN, and Henry and Jameson Burns of Bartlett, TN. She had six special nieces and nephews.
