Mrs. Carolyn Ruth McLain, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at her home in Michie, TN.  She was born September 6, 1941 to the late James and Bernice Manley.  She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting and canning.  She was a member of Michie First Baptist Church.

Carolyn is survived by her sons James William Thomas and wife, Judi and Charles Fabian McLain, all of Michie, five grandchildren; Jake Tucker of Nashville, Nick Tucker of Russelville, AR, Chris Thomas and wife, April of Orlando, FL, Brandi Luck and husband Lance, of Paris, TN and Nina Junior of Michie, TN and two great-grandchildren; Fable Luck and Matt Holloway.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip McLain, her son Joe Franklin Moody, her daughter Penny Crosnoe and her brother William Edward Manley.

Private funeral services and interment will be held in Dyer County Memorial gardens.
