Carolyn Harper Fortner Arnold, 69, of Dyersburg, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Bowens Chapel Cemetery in Friendship.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Little and husband, Todd, of Union City and Lisa Owens and husband, Kevin, of Dyersburg; three step-daughters, Tina Arnold Pittman and husband, Ken, Debbie Arnold Sawyers and husband, Mike, all of Newbern and Janice Arnold of Sulphur Springs, TX; a step-son, Sammy Arnold and wife, Patti, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Sandy Owsley of Troy and Ruth Simpson of Dyersburg; eight step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Fortner and Wendell Arnold; a son, William Michael Fortner; her parents, John and Ann Taylor Harper; and a brother, John Taylor Harper.
Pallbearers will be Dewaine Johnston, Pete Pleasant, Pete Riggs, Billy Carroll, Dale Woods and Brian Owsley.
The family requests that memorials be directed to West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Food may be taken to the Church of Jesus Christ Fellowship Hall on South Main Street.
