Carolyn Ann Burns, 66, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Germantown Methodist Hospital.

Carolyn was born on October 13, 1954, in Chicago, IL, to the late, Johnny and Marie Gray Long. She was a retired correctional officer for Northwest Correctional Facility and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville. Carolyn loved cooking, baking and enjoyed going to yard sales. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Tiptonville First Baptist Church with Dr. Phillip Newton officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackqueline Amy Spencer (Bill) of Rome, OH; two sons, Daniel Sean Wilbanks of Tiptonville, TN and Christopher Ryan Wilbanks (Jessica) of Memphis, TN; her aunt who raised her, Flossie Rhodes of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Teresa Barnes of Seattle, WA; a brother, Harold Long of Dyersburg, TN; and ten grandchildren, Elijah Wilbanks, Emma Wilbanks, Cassie Wilbanks, Riley Wilbanks, Isaac Wilbanks, Elizabeth Wilbanks, Alyssa Spencer, Ethan Spencer, Landon Spencer and Addison Spencer.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Tina.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Wilbanks, Eli Wilbanks, Ethan Spencer, Landon Spencer, Bill Spencer and Chris Wilbanks.
