Carole Murphy Tweedy, 67, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at her son's residence in Hernando, MS.

She was born on November 16, 1949 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Flois Murphy and the late Violet Geraldine Moore Murphy. Carole was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a member of the Horn Lake City Beautification Committee.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Camp and the Rev. Jack Moore officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Tweedy of Dyersburg; a daughter, Ashlee McCollum and husband, Steve, of Horn Lake, MS; a son, Todd Tweedy and wife, Amy, of Hernando, MS; her step-mother, Millie Murphy of Dyersburg; a sister, Janet Greer and husband, Jack, of Dyersburg; a brother, Tommy Barrineau and wife, Linda, of Thomasville, GA; one half-brother, Bobby Lindsey and wife, Paula, Huntington, WV; and four grandchildren, Payton Tweedy, Erin Tweedy, Reagan Tweedy and Conner McCollum.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Barrineau, Mike McKinnis, Mark McKinnis, J.J. Glover, Phillip Garrett, Scott Avent and Greg Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will her grandchildren, Jmichael Glover, Hunter Glover, Makayla Glover, Rebecca Brubaker and Jonluke Brubaker.
