Carlton Junior Sullivan, age 60, of Ridgely, TN passed away Saturday May 21, 2022 at West TN Healthcare - Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on August 27, 1961 in Dyersburg, TN to Larry Bennett and the late Mary Frances Williams Bennett. Carlton was a self employed carpenter and sheet rock finisher. He was known as one of the best sheet rock finishers in this area and even put sheet rock up in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Carlton was an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN conducted by Mr. Rick Crawford. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN.

Survivors include his father, Larry Bennett of Cat Corner, TN; three sisters, Andrea Bennett Black of Dyersburg, TN, Paula Sullivan Slaughter and Carol Sullivan King both of Union City, TN; and one nephew, Bennett Black of Dyersburg, TN.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Albert and Ludie Williams.

Honoring Carlton as pallbearers will be Scotty Johnson, Dylan Parker, Michael Parker, Mike Chism, Doug Robertson Sr., and Joe Lee Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Bennett Black.

The family ask that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
