Carlie Jennings Tubbs' Obituary
Capt. Carlie Jennings Tubbs, 69, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired riverboat captain for ADM River Transportation for 40 years and a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Booth's Point on the Mississippi River with Bro. Bill Phipps officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Tubbs of Dyersburg; a daughter, Gwen Livingston of Dyersburg; a son, Shawn Tubbs and wife, Wynne, of Jackson; two stepdaughters, Lisa Marie Shipley and husband, James, and Kelley Hollis and husband, Bubba, all of Newbern; a brother, Philip Tubbs and wife, Barbara, of Jackson; four grandchildren, Fletcher Livingston, Kelsey Tubbs, Caleb Tubbs and Noah Tubbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Q. B. and Gertrude Tubbs; and the mother of his children, Dardanella Little Tubbs.
