Carl Ozment King, 45, of Newbern, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

He was born on March 17, 1974, in Dyersburg, TN, to Bertha Ozment King and the late Carl William King, Jr. Carl was a technician with Windle Heating & Air and was also a licensed EMT. He was a Baptist.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathe Ozment and the Rev. James Newell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The King Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his mother, Bertha Ozment King of Newbern, TN; two sisters, Cynthia Collier and Janice King, both of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Robert King of Darlington, S.C. and Thomas King of Dyersburg, TN; a brother by choice, Jimmy Newell of Michie, TN; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; his godmother, Evelyn Joslin of Jackson, TN; and a lifelong friend, Kristy Windle of Dyersburg, TN.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike King; and his grandparents, Carl and Aliene King and Moody and Mattie Ozment.

Pallbearers will be Bobby King, Jay Ozment, Justin Ozment, Ray Windle, James Newell, Nick Manula and Keith Riggs.
