Obituary

Callie Lu Fowler Acred, 73, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the youth and senior choir and United Methodist Women, a former Girl Scout leader, Cotillion Club member, charter member of Budding Garden Club, partner in Acred Shoe Store, member of the Parent-Teachers Association, and recently celebrated her 55-year high school class reunion.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Acred of Dyersburg; and two daughters, Laurie Acred Natelson of Knoxville and Jane Ann Smith of Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.J. and Lorane Fowler.

Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Matt Ketchum, Tommy Ratliff, Skipper Jeffries, Corey Jeffries and Bubba Hendren.
