Burnard G. Agee, 86, of Parsons, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at Decatur County General Hospital in Parsons.
He was retired as an accountant for Forcum Lannom Contractors and Acred Shoe Store, a member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church, a graduate of Murray State University and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts in the Battle of Okinawa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mary Will Roberts of Parsons; three grandchildren, Amanda Lindsey and husband, Andy, DeeAnna Heath and husband, Craig, and Patty Kay Roberts, all of Parsons; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew and Kole Lindsey, and Austin and Carter Heath, all of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Orr Agee; his son, Danny B. Roberts; and his parents, B.E. and Josie Gregory Agee.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
