Brenda Gruggett, 74, of Finley, TN, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her residence.

Brenda was born on March 18, 1946, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late George and Viola Prince Gruggett. She was a retired employee with Colonial Rubber. Brenda was a member at Finley Baptist Church, where she worked for many years in the church nursery.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her twin sister, Glenda Patterson of Finley, TN; two nieces, Deidra White (Tommy) and Tina White (Tom); two great-nieces, Georgia Hughes (Justin) and Megan Cobb (Caleb); a great-nephew, Dillon Scobey (Jessica); three great-great-nieces, Macie Thompson, Hailey Hughes and Audrey Scobey; and one great-great-nephew, Jake Hughes.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a great-great-nephew, Landon Hughes; a half-sister, Donna Tiszai; and her brother-in-law, Gene Patterson.

Pallbearers will be Tommy White, Caleb Cobb, Justin Crawford, Lane Crawford, Randy Goff and Mike Goff.
