Mrs. Brenda K. Gant, 77, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

She was born March 2, 1948 in Caruthersville, MO. to Ruth Agnes Cook and Kyle Howard Cook. Brenda was a devoted homemaker and loved spending time working in her yard caring for her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed bowling with friends and family and was a Baptist by faith.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Doug Gant of Ridgely, TN; a son, Michael Gant; her nephews, Tim Bargery and wife, Charlene, and Kevin Cook and wife, Demaris; a niece, Lisa Cook Cadle and husband, Brian; and a brother, Stoney Cook and wife, Becca.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Jackie Cook and Donald Ray Cook; a sister, Jocleta Cook Crotts; and a granddaughter, Alaina Gant.

Graveside funeral services, conducted by Mr. David Turner, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN.

Visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tim Bargery, Blake Bargery, Ty Wray, Ethan Wray, Kevin Cook and Forrest Patterson.

The family ask that memorials, in lieu of flowers, be directed to the Alaina Gant Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Cadence Bank in Ridgely, TN.
