Mr. Bonnie Wilson Burse, age 83, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 25, 1939, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Raymond Lincoln Burse and Martha May Dudley Burse. Bonnie worked for Good-Year in the instrument lab for over 28 years. His family referred to him as a dare devil and adrenalin junkie because he would do things some people would never think about. He especially enjoyed hang gliding, skydiving and cave exploring. Bonnie never worried about the dangers of the things he did, he just wanted to have fun and live life to the fullest. He could also build and fix just about anything from model planes to boats. Bonnie loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He also loved giving back to the younger generations through volunteering as a boy scout leader for many years. Bonnie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023 at New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Edna Burse of Dyersburg, TN; a son, David Wilson Burse (Susie Marie) of Gatlinburg, TN; a daughter, Lisa Jane Peery of Dyersburg, TN; two grandchildren, Autumn Moore (David) and Andrew Davis (Jennifer); and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Rogers, Gage Rogers, Anakin Davis and Adrian Davis.

In addition to his parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by his two brothers, Onnie Burse and Dwight Burse; and a sister, Deaner Wright.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Weatherford, Milton Weatherford, Gene Tomerlin, Jeffery Tomerlin, Cullen Rule and David Moore.
