Mr. Bobby Joe Smith, age 69, of Dyersburg, Tn passed away Friday, July 29, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tn. He worked for Colonial Rubber Works for 42 years in the Custom Mix Dept.

Funeral services will be Monday August 1, 2011 at 11 AM in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Kenny Chessor. Visitation for Mr. Smith will be 5-8 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his two sons Shannon Burnette and wife Angie, of Friendship, Tn. and Tim Burnette and wife Laura, of Dyersburg, Tn. and his mother Lillian Smith of Masseyville, Tn.
Seven sisters Betty Smith, Donna Hatch, Patsy Hatch of Masseyville, Tn. Nancy Patterson and Diane Vullman of Henderson, Tn. Kathy McMahan of Middleton, Tn. and Judy Hodges of Jackson, Tn. Four Brothers Don Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Danny Smith of Henderson, Tn., and Mickey Smith of Jackson, Tn. Five Grandchildren Beth Ann Burnette, Heather Burnette, Niki Burnette, Blake Burnette and Ashlyn Pruitt, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Ann Burnette and his father George Guy Smith.
