Bobby Jan Ramey, Sr., 70, of Dyersburg, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at his residence.
He was a bomb and arson investigator with the City of Dyersburg and Dyer County, member of Trinity Lutheran Church, member of the Moose Lodge, member of FOP, member of International Association Arson Investigators, avid golfer and an U.S. Army Veteran.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Behnke and Vicker Bill Stevenson officiating. Entombment will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors starting at 5 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Ramey of Dyersburg; a daughter, Teresa Ann Petty of Lexington; a son, Bobby J. Ramey, Jr. of Dyersburg; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Jan Ramey; his parents, Thomas Sr. and Ruby Prince Ramey; a sister, Billie Joyce Johnson; and a brother, Thomas Carl Ramey, Sr.
Members of the Dyersburg Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
