Obituary

Bobby Eugene Lamb, 74, of Tiptonville, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at his residence.
He was retired as a bus driver for the Lake County School System, an appliance repairman and a former sharecropper.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ridgely Church of Christ, where he was a member, with Jeff O'Dell and Dr. Danny Mack Hall officiating. Burial will be in Keefe Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. today at the church.

Survivors include a son, Butch Lamb of Tiptonville; three sisters, Doris Scott of Ridgely, Nancy Holley of Moline, Ill., and Sue Perkins of Tiptonville; two brothers, Wayne Lamb of Newbern and Carl C. Lamb of Bossier City, La.; three grandchildren, Jessica Mooring of Covington, Kurtiss Lamb of Mt. Pleasant and Todd Baker of Tiptonville; and four great-grandchildren, Madison Mooring, Jayden Porter, Chloe Lamb and Trent Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Minnick Lamb; a daughter, Barbara Jean Barber; his parents, Charlie William Lamb and Louella Lamb; two sisters, Betty Chamberlain and Brenda Lamb; and five brothers, Charles Lamb Jr., Doug Lamb, Allen Lamb, Tony Lamb and Cornelius Lamb.

Pallbearers will be Bo Lamb, Dwight Smothers, Ed Sumara, Hershel Minnick, William Gamble and Terry Chamberlain.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Ridgely Church of Christ.
