Peacefully after a long battle with health complications at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Bobby Steve Jones, 63, a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law, will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Jones was born on November 3, 1953 in Dyersburg, TN to his parents, Shirley Temple Griggs- Jones and the late Marshall Jones. He married Hyacinth Weeks in 1975. He and his wife moved to St. Louis, MO and had two sons Bobby Joe Jones and Michael Steve Jones.  He worked as a truck driver. He retired in 1996 and returned to Dyersburg, TN.  He loved the "Blues", played guitar, and could dance and stump like no other.  He spent his remaining time reconnecting with family and enjoying life.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife Hyacinth Jones-MO; sons Bobby Joe Jones -MO, Michael Steve Jones-TN; grandson Jaylen Jones-MO; mother Shirley T. Jones- Williams and step-dad George Williams; half-sisters, Rose Ogg-CA, Catherine Rosario-NJ, and Dottie Toles-TN; half-brother James Jones-NJ; sisters Martha Honkomp-MO, Dorothy Jones-TN, Jackie Jones-TN, Jenny Jones-TN, Lisa Lowery-TN and Mary Jones-MS; brothers Jimmie Jones-TN, David Jones-TN, Billy Jones-TN and Willie Jones-Korea; sister-in-law Amanda Jones-TN, Seung Jones-Korea; brother-in-law Walter Lowery-TN, Phillup Jones-MS; and a host of nephews and nieces near and far.

He is preceded in death by half-sisters, Estelle Jefferies-TN, Martha Jones –NJ; half-brother, Marshall Jones Jr.-TN, Robert Jones-TN; sister, Sally Lyons-TN; brother–in-law James Lyons-TN.

Mr. Jones will be buried with his father at Johnson Cut Cemetery on January 20, 2017. The Johnson Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Jones' life.
