Mr. Bobby Joe Hodoe, of Ridgely, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital.  He was born August 9, 1940 and was a retired painter.  Over the years, he was a local carrier for the Commercial Appeal Newspaper and served as an Alderman for the city of Ridgely.  He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, was an avid pool player and attended Tiptonville Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Hodoe, sons, Gaylon Hodoe of Chicago and Jamie Hodoe and wife, Angela of Pocahontas, TN, his daughters, Bobbie Sue Prince and husband, Jerry Don, Delores Sneed and husband, Bobby, and Nadine Ford and husband, Michael, all of Ridgely, his brothers, Billy Joyce of Ridgely and Finis Joyce and wife Bobbie of Lake Cormorant, MS and sisters, Bonnie Stoneburner and husband, Tom, Barbara Henson and husband, Lilburn, all of Ridgely and Betty Hopper and husband, Tommy of Hornbeak as well as Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty-Eight Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Cas Newton Joyce and Maggie Neely Manns and his brothers, James & Ernest Joyce, and his son Mike Hodoe.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dyersburg Funeral home Ridgely Chapel with Funeral Services to begin at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Bro. Charles Nash.  Pallbearers will be Cody & Chris Tippit, Matthew McCoy, Brandon Owens, Brock Hodoe and Jarrod & Gerald Prince.  Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery.
