Bobby Gene Hanks, 79, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired self-employeed Brick Mason, a former member of the Masonic Lodge and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Hanks of Dyersburg; a daughter, Dianne H. Bizzle and husband, Kerry, of Dyersburg; a son, Mike Hanks and friend, Rhonda Norman, of Paris; a sister, Betty Garner of Benton Harbor, MI.; a brother, Fred Hanks of Dyersburg; and a grandchild, Chris Bizzle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Esther Cooper Hanks; two sisters, Lorraine Richardson and Imogene Jones; and two brothers, J.C. Hanks and Burnice Hanks.
Pallbearers will be Roland Criswell, James Davis, Roy Lynn Bizzle, Joe Sturdivant, Fred Hanks, Jr. and Jerry Brewer.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
