Bobby Joe Davis, 75, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from the maintenance department and a tanker man with GATX Corporation in Argo, IL and formerly served with the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. William Norman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Edith Laverne Davis of Dyersburg; a daughter, Judy D. Davis of Lemont, IL; and two brothers, Burless Davis of Finley and Ray Davis of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Beatrice White Davis; and a sister, Arlett Louise "Cookie" Permenter.
Pallbearers will be Shane Davis, Chip Worley, Kevin Wilshire, Tom White, Tommy White and Anthony "Bubba" Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Hastings, Don Ed Hastings, Estel White, Jerry Shelly and Ricky Davis.
