Bobbie Jackson Gibson, age 93, of Dyersburg TN, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at her residence in Dyersburg surrounded by family.

Bobbie was born on January 20, 1929, in Finley, TN to the late Homer and Opal Call Jackson. She was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, gardening, and cooking. Bobbie was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed her studies with Bible Study Fellowship and was a life-long learner. She was well-travelled but also enjoyed camping with her friends. She made friends easily, laughed often, and was cherished by her family.

Funeral services for Bobbie Gibson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5th, 2022 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Joe Gibson Jr. of Dyersburg, TN; one son, Joe Gibson III (Linda) of Newbern, TN; one daughter, Jane Moffett (Randy) of Tyler, TX; five grandchildren, Joe Gibson IV (Brandon), Steve Gibson (Beth), Jennilyn Gibson, Brenda Gibson, and Jane Katherine Mesa (Bert); five great grandchildren, Jonas Akin, Owen Gibson, Carolann Gibson, Callie Gibson, and Sally Cates; two step-grandchildren, Katy Norris and Lauren Gregory, and one step-great grandchild, Lylah Norris.

She was preceded in death by her son James Robert "Bubba" Gibson, and her brother Jerry Jackson.

Honoring Bobbie as pallbearers will be David Greer, Jr., Michael Davis, Bubba Greer, Billy Greer, Miles Holland, and Vandel Spoon. Honorary pallbearers will be David Greer, Sr., the deacons at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and members of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
