Billy Ray Mayo, 79, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at The Bridge at Ridgely.
He was born on January 19, 1939, in Ridgely, TN, to the late John and Jimmie Butler Eaves. Billy was a retired farmer and was very active in the Ridgely Senior Citizens Center.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Wynnburg Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Wynnburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Mayo of Tiptonville; four sons, Billy Mayo, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Rutherford, Michael R. Mayo and wife, Peggy, of Ridgely, Ricky Don Mayo of Paragould, AR and Joe England and wife, Carol, of Wynnburg; two brothers, Johnny Eaves of Hornbeak and Delbert Eaves of South Fulton; two sisters, Fay Duncan of Jackson and Brenda Strain of Tiptonville; seven grandchildren, Lauren Smith and husband, Nathan, of Lenoir City, Bryan Mayo of Rutherford, Amber Mayo of Humboldt, Josh England of Wynnburg, Hunter Mayo and Hayden Mayo, both of Paragould, AR and Tori Smith; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Hayes, Jr., Corey Glidewell, Johnny Mack Smith, Brad Howard, Matt Deason and Brad Dean.
