Billy Earl Gray, 75, of Ridgely, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired surveyor for the U.S. Corps of Engineers, a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church, a 1954 graduate of Ridgely High School, former Mayor and Alderman for the City of Ridgely, and a member of Cates Landing Riverport Board of Directors.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church with the Rev. David Gray and Mr. Chris Gray officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Ann Pigue Gray, of Ridgely; two sons, Rev. David Gray and wife, Tammy, of Ridgely and Mr. Chris Gray and wife, Sherry, of McAdams, MS; a brother, Ricky Gray and wife, Tammy, of Tiptonville; three grandchildren, Matthew Gray Hayes and wife, Lauren, Jarred Hayes, and Anna Kathryn Gray; and a great-grandchild, Ryman Elizabeth Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents,Homer and Verla Dial Gray.
Pallbearers will be Rob Carter, Dewayne Garner, Ray Goodgine, Jr., Wally Dudley, Fran DeTrano, and Clifford Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Men of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church, Horace Tipton, Jack Haynes, Sr., and Isaac Shell.
The family requests that memorial may be directed to the Abundant Life Church Building Bund.
