Mr. Billy Coleman Glover 60, of Bradford, Tennessee, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tn. He was retired from the US Marine Corps as Master Sgt. where he has served 28 years. He was a Gulf War Veteran where he participated in the Liberation of Kuwait; He was a USMC recruiter and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg where he was a member of the Solid Rock Sunday School Class.
Services will be 10:30 AM Friday, Feb. 24,2012, in chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Mike Hickman. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery in Somerville at 2 pm Friday.
The family will receive visitors Thursday evening 5-8 at the Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Martha Sue Carter Glover, of Bradford; his daughter Varina Sue Glover of Dyersburg; his sister Carolyn McClure of Ms.and his brother Herman Glover Jr. of Somerville. He is survivored by a half-sister Cynthis Hardin and a half-brother Carl Freeman both of Somerville, Tn. and two step-brothers David Ray Freeman of Camden, Tn. and Roy Freeman of Somerville.
Pallbearers will be John Uitendaal, Ronnie Seaton, Robert Sewell, Jim Adams, Donnie Wayne Bryan, Steve Garner, and Larry Jacobi. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy McCall and Scott Helm.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herman Glover and Viola Kee Glover and his brothers Chester Glover and Robert Glover.
