Billy Gaither's Obituary
Billy Gaither, 86, of Dyersburg, formerly of Memphis, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired salesman, a communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Memphis and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Cemetery in Kirkwood, Mo. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include four daughters, Gail Gaither and Susie Rolon, both of Atlanta, Ga., Joan Butler of Evergreen, Colo. and Jane Kendrick of Ocean Springs, Miss.; a son, Steve Gaither and wife, Cindy, of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Gaither; his parents, Abraham and Freddie Gaither; and a sister, Barbara Hageman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
