Billy Franklin Deason, 77, of Newbern, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on November 19, 1939 in Luxora, Arkansas to the late Willie Deason and the late Leona Kendziora Deason. Billy was a retired meat department manager for Piggly Wiggly, where he worked for 44 years. He was also a member of Miston Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Becky Deason of Newbern; three daughters, Tammy Louise Warden of Newbern, Bonnie Joann Lard of Dyersburg and Jennifer Lynn Hughes of Rutherford; three brothers, Jackie Deason and James Deason, both of Tiptonville and Donald Deason of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Deason; a sister, Mary Deason Sanderson; a brother, Richard Deason; and a great-grandchild, Laune Lovell.
Pallbearers will be George Burns, Randy Warden, Patrick Hughes, Paxton Mathina, Troy Mathina, John Edwards, Ricky Lard and Robert Barnes.
