Billy "Bill" Armstrong, affectionately known as "Red," passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN.

Born on May 23, 1942, in Dyersburg, TN, he was the beloved son of the late G.P. and Fern Anderson Armstrong. Bill was a retired employee of Sun Products and found joy in his retirement as an avid door dasher. He attended Springhill Baptist Church. Bill's presence will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Erik Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his three daughters, Cindy Poe (Jim) of Paris, TN, Tammy Poe and Angel Larson (Erik) all of Dyersburg, TN; a step-son, Timothy Smith (Letitia) of Medina, TN; two step-daughters, Roxanna Goodman (Tim) of Bogota, TN and Gina Pitt of Guntersville, AL; a sister, Peggy Ashley of Dyersburg, TN; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Kay Armstrong; two brothers, Rodney Armstrong and Pete Armstrong; and a sister, Brenda Hollingsworth.

Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Larson, Ryan Larson, Avery Talbot, Spencer Talbot, Thomas Long and Brennan Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy McCallum, Kenny Osborne, Jeff Larson and Ryan Gean.
