Mr. Billy Carlton Davis, 80, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence. He was the former owner of Davis Motorhome Mart in Memphis and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Billy was born in Ridgely, TN and graduated from Ridgely High School in 1958. While living in Memphis, TN, he was elected to the Memphis City Council, representing the Whitehaven District.

After retirement, he moved back to his hometown of Ridgely. Billy was elected Mayor in November 2020 and would have been sworn in January 14, 2021.

Survivors include his two brothers, James Malcolm Davis of Portage, IN and Danny Davis of San Antonio, FL; two sisters, Margie Davis Fields of Athens, GA and Patsy Davis Burnett of Paducah, KY; two grandsons, Evan Caudill and Blake Caudill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hubert "Sonny" Davis and Roxie Mae Dugan Davis; a daughter, Suzanne Leigh Davis; and a brother, Bobby Gene Davis.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
