Billie Viar, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living.

She was born on August 8, 1931 in Finley, TN, to the late Luther Henson and Nymn Jackson Henson. Billie worked at Peebles for 25 years and retired from South Central Bell after 32 years. She was a member of East Dyersburg United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. John Lowrance officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Viar family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday May 25, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Richard Viar and companion, Peggy Lipman, of Bartlett, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Bobby Joe Viar.

Pallbearers will be Bill McBride, Jacob McMackins, Tom Henson, Mike Henson, Danny Atwell, and Marty Chambers.
