Billie Tolar Underwood, 79, of Newbern, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on October 2, 1939, in Ridgely, TN, to the late Willard Earl Tolar and the late Lyda Mae Tatum Tolar. Billie was a retired office manager for Dr. Moore and Dr. Caylor. She was also a member of Glendale Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Roy Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Keefe Cemetery in Tiptonville.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the funeral home in Ridgely.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Melvin Underwood of Newbern; three daughters, Shari Bargery Lassiter (Chris Ken Lassiter) of Jackson, Laurie Bargery Myers of Ridgely and Cindy Underwood Brock (Rick) of Obion; a son, Rodney Underwood (Debbie) of Obion; a daughter-in-law, Regina Bargery of Ridgely; two sisters, Annie Paschall of Ridgely and Betty Fields of Collierville; four grandchildren, Justin Myers, Hunter Bargery, Ryan Bargery and Caylan Bargery; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Underwood and Willard Douglas Bargery; and a sister, Theresa Gail Armstrong.

Pallbearers will be Justin Myers, Ryan Bargery, Caylan Bargery, Brent Griffin, Tony Bargery, Greg Paschall, Roger Allen and Shannon Walker.
