Bill Perkins of Dyersburg, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Home.

He was retired manager of Dyer County Farm Bureau and a lifetime member of Future Farmers of America and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was part of the occupation of South Korea after World War II. The achievement he was proudest of was teaching Sunday School at the Dyersburg Fire Department and serving as their Associate Chaplain.

Preceded in death by his wife, Betty, he leaves a sister, Charlene Avery, sons Phillip and Mark, daughter, Karen Green (Tony) and two grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at Dyersburg First Baptist Church on Tuesday April 30, 2019, officiated by Pastor Mike Hickman with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Dyersburg Fireman's Fund at First South Credit Union or to Dyersburg First Baptist Church.
