Mrs. Beverly Gatlin Fowlkes, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.  She was born November 9, 1950 to Earl & Ruby Gatlin and was a life-long resident of Dyersburg.  She was a devoted caretaker, helping others in her community in any way that she could, from providing meals to serving on the board of the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.  She and her husband owned and operated Pierce's Bargain Center as a fixture of the Southtown Community for many years.  She and her family are long-time members of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Fowlkes, her son, Dan Fowlkes & wife, Tyla, her grandsons, Zach Mullins & Will Fowlkes.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ricky & Earl "Duke" Gatlin.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.  and from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Anetta Camp with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery with Beverly's grandsons & nephews honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family request that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, in lieu of flowers.
