Bettye Frances Simpson's Obituary
Bettye Frances Simpson, 80, of Hornbeak, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Union City Manor.
She was a retired payroll clerk for Kimberly Clark and a member of First Baptist Church in Troy.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Fowler and the Rev. John Latimer officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cheryl Gooch Loft of Arlington and Kymberlinn Simpson of Reelfoot Lake; three sons, Tony Gooch of Reelfoot Lake, Alex Simpson of Forrest City, AR. and Scott Simpson of Martin; two brothers, Larry Smith and wife, Wilma, of Hornbeak and James Louis Smith and wife, Pat, of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Simpson and Lemmuel "Trey" Simpson, both of Memphis, Elizabeth Anna Loft of New York, NY and Kymberlinn Simpson of Reelfoot Lake; and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Kate Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemmuel "Bud" Simpson; her parents, Arlie and Evelyn Mills Smith; and two brothers, Gene Smith and Gerald Smith.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bunch, Darrell Smith, Greg Storey, Darrel Long, J.T. Coleman and Tim Smith.
