Bettye Nell Jackson, age 74 of Parsons, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022 at AHC Westwood in Decaturville, TN.

She was born on September 20, 1947 in Dublin, MS to the late James and Mildred Kimbrell Cooper. Bettye was a retired meat cutter on army bases all across the country. She loved watching NFL football games and enjoyed reading when she could.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 2-4 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Mr. Eric Barr.

Survivors include her son, Don Jackson (Janet) of Dyersburg, TN; one daughter, Christina Barr (Eric) of Parsons, TN; one sister, Joyce Wilson (Tommy) of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Alex Jerding, Katie Newsome, Riana Jackson, Eric Barr and Morgan Barr; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Cooper; one sister, Darlene Justice; and one grandchild, Eric Jerding.
