Bettye Diggs Downing's Obituary
Bettye Diggs Downing, 66, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at her residence.
She was retired from the quality-control department at Quebecor World, attended Lakeview Baptist Church, and was a retired supervisor for H.I.S. Manufacturing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home - Tiptonville Chapel with the Rev. Houston Northcutt officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Tiptonville chapel.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Bargery of Newbern; a sister, Judy Stone of Cordova; three brothers, Bobby Diggs of Dyersburg, James Diggs of Ripley and Larry Diggs of Paris, Tenn.; and a grandchild, Cace Rice and husband, Jason, of Newbern.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Vera Mae Diggs.
Pallbearers will be Brent Stone, Josh Stone, John Chadwick and Tony Chadwick.
