Betty Jewel Rice Cogburn, 82, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired account clerk for the Dyer County Health Department and was a member of First Christian Church.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Cogburn Palmer and husband, Larry, of Dyersburg and Patricia Cogburn Ezell and husband, S.A. of Charlotte, N.C.; and a great-granddaughter, Brandilyn Reavis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Hamilton Cogburn; a daughter, Frances Lorraine Cogburn; her parents, Freddie Odell and Frances Duncan Rice; and a granddaughter, Sheri Reavis.
