Betty Pleasant, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Fla.
She was a homemaker and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Crawford and Bro. Jim Chamblee officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Jackson.
The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Aloma Fink of New Port Richey, Fla.; four sons, Rudy Pleasant of LaGrange, Ill., Avery Joe Pleasant of Carol stream, Ill., Dennis H. Pleasant of Bartlett, Ill. and Marco David Pleasant of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Zelma Dickerson of Jackson, Jean Sorrell of Milan and Beverly Buccieri of Darien, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Pleasant; and her parents, Walter and Elsie Richardson.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Pleasant, Avery Joe Pleasant, Dennis H. Pleasant, Marco David Pleasant, Brad McIntire, Alan Fink, A.J. Pleasant and Dennis Pleasant. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Fink.
