Betty Jo Mancell, age 86, of Finley, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on June 5, 1939, in Boothspoint, TN, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Bessie Forsythe Worley. Betty dedicated her career to caring for others as a CNA at Oakwood Nursing Home. She was known for her love of cooking and shopping, particularly enjoying visits to the Union Mission. Betty had a passion for taking care of people and was a very plain-spoken person. She adored Christmas and took great joy in decorating for all holidays.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro, Don Smith officiating. Burial will be in Sorrells Chapel Cemetery.

The Mancell Family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Bill Mancell, Jr. and Nathan Mancell, both of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Mary Baird of Illinois; five grandchildren, Misty Harrison, Bradley Mancell, Freddie Mancell (Brandi), Gracie White and Amarah Mancell; seven great-grandchildren, Clay Mancell, Riley Mancell, Reed Mancell, Caden Mancell, Addison Mancell, Aleigh Jordan and Brea Singleton; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Mancell Sr. and her sister, Rachel Key.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Mancell, Reed Mancell, Riley Mancell, Freddie Mancell, Bradley Mancell and Caden Mancell. Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Moore.
