Obituary

Betty Lou Cook, 90, of Wynnburg, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was retired from the dietary department from Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home, member of Wynnburg Baptist Church and was a former employee from Rolane Manufacturing.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wynnburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Byassee and the Rev. Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday at Wynnburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane Mayo of Wynnburg; two sons, LeRoy Cook of Wynnburg and Billy Joe Cook of Ridgely; three grandchildren, Linda Cook, Joe England and Leann Cook; four great-grandchildren, Josh England, Jason Brooks, Brayden Bane and Rileigh Roberson; and one great-great-grandchild, Baylee Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cook; her parents, Ezber and Ivy Crowder Brown; and four sisters, Mable Trout, Lois Balentine, Mattie Floyd and Earlene Marks.

Pallbearers will be Gary Southerland, Billy Farmer, Tony Marvin, Billy Mayo, Jerry Marks and Mark Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Mayo, Joe Boy Marvin and Kelly Owen.
