Betty Mae Burns, age 74 of Dyersburg, TN passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 2, 1948 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Bill and Catherine Turner Cannon. Betty was a nurse for over 31 years at Dyersburg Manor. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Betty also had a love for Christmas and loved decorating everything for the holiday season.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 8:00 Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Bro. John Fine. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Tim Burns (Crystal) of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Billy Wayne Cannon of Dyersburg, TN and three grandchildren, Tyler Burns, Matthew Burns and Tatum Burns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Banks Burns; three brothers, Walter Robertson, Herman Cannon and George Robertson; and two sisters, Bernice Bolden and Robbie Tinkle.

Honoring Mrs. Betty as pallbearers will be family and friends.
